SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

If you have an idea for a book, we’d like to hear about it. W&A Publishing is dedicated to publishing books that provide in-depth information on distinct and timely trading-related topics to individual investors and traders.

Submitting a Proposal

You don’t have to wait until you’ve completed your book to begin the process of securing a publishing agreement with W&A Publishing. Before submitting your proposal, we ask that you consider whether your material fits our publishing profile.

Proposal submissions must be emailed to editorial@w-apublishing.com. We make every assurance that your submission will be kept in the strictest confidence. No phone calls, please.

Things to consider before submitting a proposal:

Competition. Go to the library or a bookstore and review books similar to yours. Familiarize yourself with the books on your topic so you can explain how yours is different from those with which it will be compared.

Market. Is there a need for another book on your topic? What makes your book unique? Is this a book that the target audience will want to use frequently?

Audience. Who is your book written for? Who should buy it? Why should they buy it? How will it educate the reader?

Other questions. Who has reviewed or tested your book? Have you led classes or workshops on the topic? What is your background? Have you published other books, articles, or other materials? How will you be able to promote your book? Can you conduct workshops at professional meetings, present webinars, or do demonstrations at bookstores? Include this information in your proposal materials.

Submission tips:

Address key questions. W&A Publishing are appropriate for the trading community; well researched; based on current trends in the field; and include creative, participatory learning experiences.

Give details. Does your book include an accompanying workbook or other ancillary materials? Such elements are often best as supplemental publications and should be mentioned in your proposal.

Know your audience. Your book should target seasoned traders, investment professionals, or newcomers to trading who are interested in a comprehensive look at the hottest investing topics. Before making a proposal, we recommend you review our current titles.

Focus your topic. Readers look to W&A Publishing for books to learn about opportune investment strategies, hot trends, and practical trading guidelines. Books should provide readers a place to learn about a discrete trading topic from a wide variety of the top expert advisers in the field.

  • Your intended audience and books similar to yours—and why yours is different. We look for unique books that stand out. Explain how your book differs from those already on the market and why it should have a place on a reader’s shelf.
  • Details about how you will directly assist in marketing, promotion, and sale of your book, such as target markets, possible sellers, and helpful contacts and/or connections you have. Be specific.
